By grace each of us has been given different gifts by Christ.
He gives these gifts for us to use in God’s service.
Whatever gifts you have, whether you think them big or small,
important or inconsequential, have been given to you to use for His church.

As followers of Christ we are not to allow differences
to separate us one from another.
Things like nationality, culture, color, education, politics;
these things add to the life of the Church.
By seeing what makes us alike, Christ,
we will know love in its purest form
and that can only add to our peace.
Are your friends all just like you or are there differences?
Are the differences problematic or are they blessings?

Through Christ, His righteousness, there will be a harvest of peace.
When that harvest time comes there will be tranquility and confidence forever.
We know peace now because of His holiness but it is a peace that can be disturbed.
There will be a day when untroubled peace will be assured forever.
What causes your peace to be disturbed or troubled?

When the church is in turmoil because of the differences of people there is no peace;
no peace for the church as a whole or for those who are members.
It matters not the color, nationality, financial status, education, opinion,
or any other thing that makes us different from one another.
We are the body of Christ, the church, and called to peace.
Let us be thankful that we are all loved by Him unconditionally
and sometimes in spite of ourselves.
Is there a brother or sister you do not love unconditionally?
What hinders that love?
Will you pray for peace with them
and to be thankful that they are part of the church?

Faith is not meant to be hidden away.
It is to be shared with others with words and acts.
In sharing our faith we become more mindful
of the blessings we receive from the Lord.
