Hello my brothers and sisters and friends, My first blog here was July 3, 2009. Since then I have published 911 posts.  The format has changed a couple of times, but the focus of it has not.  Now I am feeling it is time for a bit of a break to reflect on the next step on the path before me. I will be quiet for a time and return around October 1. This date is not written in stone and it may be later than October 1 when I return…or if I return.

I ask that you pray I will be open and patient while I wait on the Spirit’s leading and teaching.  Pray that I will be receptive to what the Lord has to say to me and that I will be obedient. Some of you who know me “in real life” know how hard it is for me to write that last word.  I have always struggled with rebellion, anger, and being self-centered. Obedience is difficult for this child of God, but He is good and always loving and never forsakes His children while they are on their journey.

During this time, I am opening comments.  If you have any insights please share them. You can also email me if that is more comfortable for you. I long for your prayers and friendship.

Genesis 1:14 nlt

Think how dull it would be if the only way we determined the time
was with clocks and calendars.
Think how tedious time would be if it all looked the same.
God is an artist whose palate has many colors and textures.

Have you ever thought about what the world would be like
all the same color and texture and temperature?

Ecclesiastes 3:11 nlt

All that God has created is beautiful.
What we see and experience today that is not beautiful is not of God,
though He can use it to form something of beauty.
We may not understand this where we are now,
but someday we will.
What a beautiful day that will be!

Is there something at this time in your life not so beautiful?
Will you trust the Lord to make something of beauty from it in His time?

Acts 1:7 niv

If you are like me you like to have a schedule.
An idea of when things need to be done
or when things will happen and where.
Jesus makes quite clear that there are things
we will not know the time of until they happen.

Does it bother to not know God’s schedule?

Psalm 121:8 nlt

Remember this when you think no one cares about you
and that you are alone and worthless.
The Lord keeps His eye on you.
He knows about all your days and nights.
There is never a time He doesn’t know where you are.
You are that important to Him

Are there places you go you rather God didn’t know about?
Why do you go there?
