Micah 7:8 niv

anonymous-376540_640We don’t always get it right.
The world can be a dark place.
But we always have the Lord.to light our way.

Do you feel like you are sitting in the dark?
Sometimes we just need to open our hearts to see the Light.

Blessings this day of grace, patricia (2)

Isaiah 42:16 niv

We do not have the mind of God and often we do not understand what He is doing.
When we are in the dark and cannot see His plan
He is with us.
Leading and guiding, making the rough places level and smooth;
taking us out of darkness into light where we can see clearly.

When you are in darkness are you afraid?
Or do you know where to find the light?

Blessings this day of grace,

John 8:12 esv

There is no need to stumble around in darkness.
Follow Jesus and your path will be well-lit.
Wherever Jesus is there is light.

What is the source of light in your life?
Do you ever seem to be in the shadows?
What do you do to get in the light again?

Blessings this day of grace,

Light In The Darkness

Walking in the dark is an unnerving experience if it is a place where we have never been before.  In  new or strange places without light we become disoriented;  even in familiar places we can feel unsure of ourselves.  We walk more slowly with less confidence. Sounds in darkness are different;  we listen carefully but sometimes it is hard to decipher sounds and to know exactly from where they are coming.  Darkness can feel thick and heavy, uncomfortably close.  It can be frightening and overwhelming until we find a light.

When we do find a light, be it bright or somewhat dim, everything changes.  We can see where we are and if there are any obstacles or barriers or dangers in our way.  When we see clearly the unknown is not as frightening.  When we are in lighted places we feel lighter, freer, and less stressed.

The world is filled with dark places.  Sometimes the dark is a place where we can become lost and afraid;  a place where we can stumble or fall into traps and snares, be misled and deceived.  Often the darkness in the world is not a place but  circumstances or situations.  The darkness can be  difficult relationships, financial problems, health challenges, doubt, anxiety, sorrow, loneliness.  Anytime we feel a sense of doom or unexplained fear or confusion we are in darkness.  We may find ourselves in that darkness but we need not be without light.

You light a lamp for me.
The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.
Psalm 18:28 nlt

God’s glory illuminates His lamp, Jesus, to burn bright without flickering.  With this light our darkness is brightened and we can see  impediments and dangers.  We can see what is happening with clarity and proceed in the security and comfort of the Light.  With God’s lamp lighting the way our walk is sure-footed, and even in adversity, it is joy-filled.

Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105 esv
