Job 23:10 niv

gold-163519_640If something is not tested we don’t know its value.
The trials we face and how we respond to them prove our worth.

Are you confident as Job was that you will come forth as gold?
Does it help to know God is with you in every test you face?

Job 36:15 nlt

Many times there seems to be no reason for our suffering.
It could be that we are suffering because we aren’t listening
and need something to get our attention.

Often I suffer because I hear but don’t listen.

Do you sometimes need a hard knock to get your attention?
When was a time you suffered for not paying attention?

Job 8:21 msg

cheering-297419_640When life seems to be more than we can bear;
there is too much pain, sadness, loss, and anger.
Don’t give up.

When we persevere the promise is fulfilled.

Have you experienced a difficult time that you thought would never end?
How did you hold onto the promise of better times to come?

Blessings this day of grace,

Job 42:6 hcs

Like Job we all have words we want to take back;
words said to God that are self-righteous and proud.
And like Job let us repent with humility and remorse;
praising God for His grace and mercy.

Have you said things to God that  you now regret?
Do you see the sin in your attitude and pride?

Is your heart-broken that you repent in meekness and sorrow?

Job 2:10 niv

This is Job’s response to his wife telling him to “curse God and die”.
With all that happened to Job maybe you can understand his wife’s comment.
But Job thought her a foolish woman.

Who do you relate to most easily, Job or his wife?
