If you are like me you like to have a schedule.
An idea of when things need to be done
or when things will happen and where.
Jesus makes quite clear that there are things
we will not know the time of until they happen.

Does it bother to not know God’s schedule?

Acts 9:11 niv

praying-296517_640When you think your prayers aren’t heard read in Acts 9 about Ananias and Paul.
While Paul was praying the Lord spoke to Ananias, in a vision, and told him to go to Paul.
He told Ananias where Paul was and what he was doing.
Not only did the Lord speak to Ananias
He also spoke to Paul and told Paul that Ananias was coming.

Has there been a time when someone called
or stopped by just when you needed them?
Is it possible the Lord sent them?

Acts 1:9-11 nlt

clouds-189804_640Jesus had just told the disciples that it was not for them to know
the times or seasons the Father had planned.
But that they would receive the Holy Spirit
and be His witnesses to the world.

Then He was gone from them;
and two angels were sent to comfort them.
The angels told the disciples that they would see Jesus again.
He will return as He left, suddenly in a cloud.

Do you see the Lord never left His disciples without comfort?
Do you understand He offers the same comfort to you?

Acts 20:35 esv

give

Paul did not work just to support himself but also to help the weak.
He did not just tell people what to do but showed them by example.
His example is for us, too.

We are to work, not only for our own well-being, but to give to those
who are financially, physically, or spiritually needy.
It is a blessing for them and for us.

Where do you see a need that could be eased or lightened with your help?

Spiritual gifts are meant to be shared.
God gives us these gifts so that we can serve others.

How do you share and serve using your gift(s)?
