Hello my brothers and sisters and friends, My first blog here was July 3, 2009. Since then I have published 911 posts.  The format has changed a couple of times, but the focus of it has not.  Now I am feeling it is time for a bit of a break to reflect on the next step on the path before me. I will be quiet for a time and return around October 1. This date is not written in stone and it may be later than October 1 when I return…or if I return.

I ask that you pray I will be open and patient while I wait on the Spirit’s leading and teaching.  Pray that I will be receptive to what the Lord has to say to me and that I will be obedient. Some of you who know me “in real life” know how hard it is for me to write that last word.  I have always struggled with rebellion, anger, and being self-centered. Obedience is difficult for this child of God, but He is good and always loving and never forsakes His children while they are on their journey.

During this time, I am opening comments.  If you have any insights please share them. You can also email me if that is more comfortable for you. I long for your prayers and friendship.

Blessings this day of grace, patricia (2)

  1. I have often come here and found just the reminder that I needed for that day, your posts have spoken to my heart, and I thank you for that. I think it’s always good to step back a bit an reassess our direction, purpose, and how we spend our time, and I have no doubt that God will lead you in exactly the right way. Obedience is a hard one for me too, along with patience, but with each step in the right direction, and each prayer of willingness to follow, rather than trying to lead, we draw closer to the One who loves us and desires all that is good for us and from us. I will be eager to see what your next undertaking is, and I will pray for you as always. Your presence in the blogsphere is a blessing and a reminder to stay grounded and real. XOXO

    • Thank you, Josie. Right now I am not only finding it difficult to follow but to move at all. Somehow, my heart just wants to stay where it is and not move in any direction. Your words are so encouraging and I treasure your prayers.

  2. May God bless you with refreshment and inspiration Patricia as you break for a season of prayer and divine leading under His care.
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation. My fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honour come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.”
    Psalm 62: 5, 6, 7

    • Thank you Jantzika, for your encouragement. I have been led to Ps 62 versus several times the past few weeks. Patience has been difficult for me these last few months, but I am learning to wait not only expectantly but also quietly.

  3. Patricia, you always have my prayers, blessings and friendship. If it’s any comfort to you, what you describe as yourself is a reflection of me. The Sunday Snippet I wrote especially the last stanza: “May we never forget to draw from Jesus the graces to make our dreams come true.” is dedicated to all who reads my blog. I have drawn so much inspiration from you daily graces and for that I am grateful. I will keep you in my prayers. Break if you must. Just like I wrote, take time to ponder and pray. I will connect with you via e-mail one of these days. Blessings. Perpetua.
